About Us
Our Story
It started with a simple truth: coffee connects people.
From the mountains of Colombia to the hearts of cities around the world, coffee has always been a bridge — a moment where stories unfold, ideas ignite, and identities are rediscovered.
At La Montaña Coffee, we believe that every cup holds the power to inspire transformation.
Born from a journey of service, resilience, and rediscovery, our mission is to create a global space where rebuilding your identity isn’t a stigma — it’s a celebration.
Because life’s greatest climb isn’t up a mountain — it’s within yourself.
To become a worldwide symbol of resilience, authenticity, and unity, connecting people from every mountain and culture through exceptional coffee and human stories that matter.
To lead a global movement that celebrates individuality and connection with world-class coffee, fueling transformative conversations that awaken purpose — one cup at a time.
We believe that our packaging should be more than just a container; it should be an extension of the coffee experience. That’s why our bags are designed to be interactive! Customers are encouraged to write messages, draw, or color on our packaging, making it a perfect canvas for personal notes to clients, family, and friends. Let your creativity shine while enjoying our coffee, and share your unique creations with us!
La Montaña Coffee is more than a brand — it’s a community of dreamers, doers, and believers who know that greatness begins with self-discovery. When you drink our coffee, you join a global movement built on courage, authenticity, and connection.
- Every conversation matters.
- Every story deserves to be heard.
- Every cup can change a life.
There was a time when I, too, thought coffee was just part of the routine: something you drink to wake up and get through your day.
That changed the day a coffee farmer in the mountains of Colombia handed me a cup and said, “Most people drink coffee, but very few have truly tasted it.”
That first sip opened my eyes.
The coffee wasn’t bitter.
It wasn’t burnt.
It was bright, fruity, aromatic—it was alive.
He explained that coffee has more than 800 flavor compounds—twice as many as wine—but that most roasters destroy them with very dark roasts. That conversation didn’t just change the way I tasted coffee. It changed the way I understood the stories, the identity, and the connection behind each cup.
Most people believe that “strong” coffee is dark coffee, and that the darker the roast, the more caffeine it contains.
But the truth is quite the opposite:
The darker a bean is roasted, the less caffeine it retains.
Extreme heat burns the caffeine and destroys its natural flavors.
That dark coffee that many associate with strength… actually has less caffeine than a medium or light roast coffee.
The true strength of coffee comes from preserving the bean, not from burning it. That’s where the flavors, aromas, and natural energy are found.
Before coffee, I served as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy.
Upon returning home, I understood something profound:
many of us come back from our battles—military or personal—with the need to reconnect with ourselves.
That understanding became the foundation of La Montaña Coffee.
I didn’t create this brand just to roast exceptional coffee. I created it to build a space where transformation is celebrated, not hidden.
A space where identity is rebuilt, one intentional cup at a time.
A space for real conversations.
We had an incredible experience at the EPA event! The Colombian single origin Pink Bourbon was exceptional, and the staff's enthusiasm was truly invaluable. Their dedication to promoting agricultural sustainability aligned with the EPA's mission. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations while enjoying outstanding coffee. Highly recommend La Montaña Coffee for their commitment to both quality and community impact!
